innovation

advanced ..

.. functionality

eetteri studio’s product development starts with the selection of articles focusing on products where there is a genuine opportunity to increase product’s functional value. added functionality truly improves the user’s quality of life, freeing up time and other resources

good examples of such products are the universal syli™ family and pouch™ belt with carefully considered, innovative functionality as the basis of the product development

.. form

second to function is new visual form. often simpler than before, directing attention away rather than towards the user. the visual form can be girly or feminine, but never uncomfortable, for comfort is, also, a factor truly improving the quality of life

eetteri studio visual products are also functional. for example the cheerful banana™ sundress with its leaf shaped sleeves and wide hem is structurally rigid, making it airy and particularly comfortable in humid and warm conditions

.. production

eetteri studio has fully embraced 3d softwares. the studio uses them from design to communication, reducing the environmental impact, and lead time. external service providers are used in sourcing and printing, while holding the design, product, and sales at our own hands

3d design is gradually bringing the clothing industry, lagging behind other design fields, towards the present day, where software takes more responsibility of intellectual work. they allow a greater part of humanity to be directed for other tasks

as for now, AI is not a part of eetteri studio’s design process. due to its structure, AIs operate at quality levels that do not meet the studio’s requirements

circularity

quality is sustainability

good design changes how we feel, think, and act. eetteri studio’s products are functional, slightly forward looking, and fit a modern, multicultural society. their high quality carries for years, decades, perhaps even generations. the best quality is the best service to our customers, and thereby the environment, cultivating a long term commitment between the user and the garment

cruelty free

in materials, eetteri studio is committed to the best. in some applications this means synthetic, in others organic. the decision is made separately for each product, taking into account the intended use and comfort factors, as well as the ethical weight attached to the material

while all productions have an environmental impact, animal-derived materials are only considered in cases where there are no functionally equivalent alternatives available. although wool, silk and leather all have special properties, other materials can achieve equally good or even better results

the only unparalleled animal-derived material in the industry is down feather. it is not a part of the studio’s current collection, but if no viable alternatives arise, it might some day become a part of it. all material providers are evaluated case-by-case, favoring operators who develop the industry with purposeful solutions

recycblable

eetteri studio’s designs are in most cases mono-material. while multiple materials create a more interesting design, separating layers to mono-materials creates more possibilities for different uses. a good example of this is the syli™ family, including two mono-material products that the combinations of cover three, sometimes even four, seasons of use

advanced functional forms help us to release old, ineffective forms into new existence, for more optimal distribution of resources worldwide
